Osprey House News
Welcome to Osprey House
Originally from Northern Ireland, I am a teacher of Science at Key Stage 3 and Biology at Key Stages 4 and 5. I have worked at ICHS since 2002 and enjoyed being Head of Year (10 and 11) for 7 years before we implemented the House system. I have played rugby in the past and now support Northampton Saints.
My claim to fame is meeting Chris Ashton, Ben Foden and Dylan Hartley who all play rugby for England. I also love photography, music and the theatre.
The house is known for its all-round capability. Students are active and engaged with their learning. They are thoughtful and kind to others.

There are 250 to 300 breeding pairs in the UK.
Ospreys are surprisingly tolerant of regular activity, such as passing vehicles, but they are extremely nervous of unusual activity; hence, there can be a risk of nests being deserted following disturbance, both intentional and accidental.
Ospreys in the UK can be seen in the summer in areas of Scotland and Wales.
When on migration, they travel through Spain on their journey to the UK.
This particular fish-eating bird of prey is an amber list species because of its historical decline (due to killing), and low breeding numbers.
