Geography is one of the most adaptable and enjoyable subjects. At Ilford County High, we aim to develop a love for Geography, and to understand the effects of geography on the world.

Ofsted report: Provision for geography is very good.

'The teachers have a very secure knowledge of the subject and pass on their enthusiasm to their students. They have an excellent relationship with students and students clearly enjoy their work.'

Department description: The Geography courses offered give an important insight into the practical applications of geography.

At GCSE and A level, we explore the effects of humans and the importance of due consideration to nature and society in everyday life.

At A level, we undertake a field trip to help and guide the understanding of students as to the wider implications of social changes.
